Amid the superstructures that humans have imposed on our planet, we earthlings inevitably encounter the struggles inherent in inhabiting a human body. Yet the real challenge seems to be finding soft places — both within as without — while remembering that cities, bodies, and every structure we create are destined to crumble eventually, and therefore cannot be taken too seriously.
